Contractor Born from Mumbai in India, was raised in Nigeria up until she turned seven. She was already exposed to many different travels and other cultures since a young age. She went to boarding school from the age of 7 to 9 in London. Later the family returned home to Toronto (Canada) in Canada, where she were raised for her entire life. In Toronto, Contractor excelled in academics and became a classical ballerina. She studied at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto, an arts school focused on theater and dance. Contractor, who had been dancing for over 10 years when she started when she decided to focus on acting. When she graduated from high-school with a full scholarship for tuition to University of Toronto where she was a theatre student with a dual degree in psychology and Sociology. Contractor, who had spent a year in university, went on to audition at an open call for Pericles which was held at the highly acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival, [Ontario Canada] and won the part. After two weeks of performances, she got praise from the audience. The play was deemed the best production by Canadian the critics. Contractor was given the chance to join Stratford's conservatory, where a select eight men and four females are selected to take a crash course of 20 weeks in classical theatre, which she gladly accepted. Contractor was offered a slot for the following season and was given the part as Hermia.
