Wilson's fame travelled to the United States in 2014, when she appeared on Showtimes The Affair. She played Alison Lockhart, a young woman with a troubled background and falls in love with Noah Solloway. Wilson was honored with a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in an Television Series in Drama 2015 alongside Mauratierney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson, speaking to British Vogue back in 2015, said that she enjoyed acting in two distinct perspectives. Noah thinks Alison is the most confident, attractive and reckless self-image. The way she sees herself in a completely different light. On the inside Alison isn't confident and is looking to be a part of the background. She also said that she believed America to be morally upright. Wilson was a part of the show until 2018 after a lot of fans' shock, but she didn't provide any details. The Little Stranger More recently Wilson has turned to more film roles. The year she was born, she starred as the Pretty Thing in the House in the horror movie I Am the Pretty Thing. And in 2017, played the cryptic PT Stella, in the sci-fi romcom How to Talk to Girls in Parties. In addition to adding more horror genre onto her credits, she's set to be a part of the British film version to The Little Stranger a supernatural thriller based on the novel written by Sarah Waters. Wilson is also the producer of the film.
