She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9, 1983. The first job she had after school was working in the industry of real estate. This is where she first met Tarek El-Moussa, her future husband. The couple ran a successful business until the 2008 Stock Market Crash and saw several real estate investors and flippers fail. Tarek El Moussa, and Christina El Moussa lost almost everything as a consequence of the 2008 stock market crash. The couple moved from an expensive home where they paid $6,000 a month, to a modest house that was only $700. The business along with the general economy, recovered slowly. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek, in 2011, asked a friend to assist him by creating an HGTV tape showing Christina and him navigating an entire home from beginning until the very end. Pie Town Productions' executives got hold of the tape. The executives fell in love Tarek Christina. The couple signed an agreement in 2012 together with HGTV. The program "Flip of Flop" was launched on April 13, 2013. Between 2013 and 2017 the show ran for 92 episodes over seven seasons. Christina as well as Tarek had to buy houses, usually in Orange County. After spending some time on improvements and renovations, they'd sell them for a profit.
